Prof. Alan Mantooth
University of Arkansas, USA, IEEE Fellow, PELS past President.
Prof. Alan Mantooth (Fellow, IEEE) earned his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in 1990 and is currently a Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He co-founded the National Center for Reliable Electric Power Transmission (NCREPT) in 2005, where he serves as Executive Director, along with leading two affiliated centers: GRid-connected Advanced Power Electronics Systems (GRAPES) and the Cybersecurity Center for Secure Evolvable Energy Delivery Systems (SEEDS). In 2015, he also helped establish the NSF-funded Power Optimization for Electro-Thermal Systems (POETS) center focused on high-power-density systems. Dr. Mantooth is a Senior Past-President of the IEEE Power Electronics Society.
Prof. Dushan Boroyevich
Virginia Tech., USA, IEEE Fellow, PELS Past President.
Prof. Dushan Boroyevich (Fellow, IEEE) earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 1986 and is currently a University Distinguished Professor and the American Electric Power Professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He co-founded the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) in 1998, one of the world’s leading research centers in power electronics, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing high-frequency power conversion technologies. He also serves as Associate Vice President for Research and Innovation in Energy Systems at Virginia Tech. Prof. Boroyevich is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and a recipient of numerous honors, including the IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award and an honorary doctorate from the University of West Bohemia. He was the 2011-12 President of the IEEE Power Electronics Society.
Prof. Udaya Madawala
University of Auckland, IEEE Fellow
Prof. Udaya Madawala is a Fellow of IEEE and Deputy Head of Department (Research) at the University of Auckland. He holds a BE (Hons) and PhD, with expertise in Power Electronics, including Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) for V2X, EV battery charging, and smart-grid systems. He has received numerous honors, including the 2024 IEEE PELS Jovanović Award and the University of Auckland Research Excellence Medal. A recognized global speaker, he has delivered keynotes at over 30 international conferences and serves on multiple IEEE leadership committees and editorial boards.
Prof. Tumiran, M.Eng., Ph.D
Director of Engineering Research & Innovation Center (ERIC) UGM, Indonesia
Engineering/Renewable Power and Energy Systems Engineering
Prof. Ir. Tumiran, M.Eng., Ph.D is an expert in Power and Energy Systems Engineering, with a strong focus on Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution, Energy Conversion, and High Voltage Engineering. He is actively involved in the Energy Conversion and Power Delivery research cluster, and has contributed to discussions on national energy policy, including as a participant in the Webinar Energy Series on Renewable Energy Law. His expertise spans both renewable and conventional power systems, and he holds certification in student-centered learning development.
Dr. Carl Chen
Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Delta Electronics (Thailand)
Dr. Carl Chen currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of the R&D Center at Delta Electronics Thailand. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Electronics and is a Full Professor at National Taiwan University. With over three decades of experience, Carl Chen has held executive roles in three leading IC companies in Taiwan, where he led various technology and innovation teams. His leadership in research and development has made him a key figure in advancing power electronics technology across Asia.
